History

Gentle Care Agency has been a reputable and successful home care agency since 1996. Claire Ades, its nurse and owner, had been nursing for 55 years. Many of those years were spent working in San Francisco and Marin County hospitals, specifically Recovery Rooms, Intensive Care Units, New Born Nurseries, and other medical and surgical settings, including health care facilities for the aged and debilitated. During this time, she was raising her six children with her wonderful husband, Bob, who is also very well known in the community. Due to her entrepreneurial and artistic skills, Claire also established and ran a successful cake design and decorating business for 20 years. In 1988, she returned to an active nursing role for a Marin home health agency as the Patient Care Coordinator where she established a renowned reputation as a caring and dedicated patient advocate throughout the local health care industry. In 1996, Claire opened Gentle Care Agency, to offer affordable, compassionate care to those in need. Many of the caregivers that Claire refers to clients followed her from her prior years in home health care. Claire prided herself on having a team of skilled, experienced and loyal caregivers who afford Gentle Care an excellent reputation throughout the Marin and Napa/Sonoma communities. Claire was proud of the fact that her daughter, Loree Ades, its accountant and office manager, and her husband and several other family members have been part of the Gentle Care team since its inception.
